Firefox 2.0 release

The new and shiny Firefox 2.0 will be available for download next tuesday on GetFirefox.com.

New features include:

  • Improved user interface
  • Anti-phishing features
  • Inline spell checking
  • New bookmarks and history system

What’s still missing in my opinion is resuming a failed download. With my big ass cable connection I tend to be so lazy that I download complete ISO’s with firefox. Resuming such downloads would be sweet.
I’ve been running the release candidates for a while now and they have been very stable. The improved user interface makes it look more modern. With the imminent release of Internet Explorer 7 the gap between the two browsers has become significantly smaller. So… Let the battle begin!
